Urwa bin Zubayr reported,

Ayesha commented on the verse "And if a woman fears from her husband ill treatment or aversion" [Nisa 4:128]. She said, "This is a man who sees something in his wife that displeases him, such as her age or something else, and so he wants to part from her. She then says, 'Keep me, and give me whatever share of your attention you wish.'" Ayesha added, "There is no harm in that, so long as they are both content with it."

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها {وإن امرأة خافت من بعلها نشوزا أو إعراضا} قالت هو الرجل يرى من امرأته ما لا يعجبه كبرا أو غيره فيريد فراقها فتقول أمسكني واقسم لي ما شئت قالت فلا بأس إذا تراضيا
