The Prophet ﷺ heard a man praising another man and going to excess in his praise, so he said, "You have destroyed him," or, "You have broken the man's back."

سمع النبي ﷺ رجلا يثني على رجل ويطريه في مدحه فقال أهلكتم أو قطعتم ظهر الرجل
