The descendants of Suhayb, the freed slave of Ibn Judaan, claimed two houses and a room, saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had given them to Suhayb.Marwan asked, "Who will testify for you two regarding this?"They said, "Ibn Umar."So Marwan summoned him, and he testified that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had indeed given Suhayb two houses and a room. Marwan then ruled in their favor on the basis of his testimony.
باب حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى أخبرنا هشام بن يوسف أن ابن جريج أخبرهم قال
أن بني صهيب مولى ابن جدعان ادعوا بيتين وحجرة أن رسول الله ﷺ أعطى ذلك صهيبا فقال مروان من يشهد لكما على ذلك قالوا ابن عمر فدعاه فشهد لأعطى رسول الله ﷺ صهيبا بيتين وحجرة فقضى مروان بشهادته لهم
