The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "If the wealth of Bahrain comes, I will give you this much," gesturing three handfuls. But it did not arrive before the Prophet ﷺ passed away.Abu Bakr then ordered a caller to announce, "Whoever was promised something by the Prophet ﷺ or is owed a debt by him, let him come to us."So I went to him and said, "The Prophet ﷺ promised me something." He scooped up three handfuls for me.
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا سفيان حدثنا ابن المنكدر سمعت
قال لي النبي ﷺ لو جاء مال البحرين أعطيتك هكذا ثلاثا فلم يقدم حتى توفي النبي ﷺ فأمر أبو بكر مناديا فنادى من كان له عند النبي ﷺ عدة أو دين فليأتنا فأتيته فقلت إن النبي ﷺ وعدني فحثى لي ثلاثا
