Umm Hufayd, the maternal aunt of Ibn Abbas, gave the Prophet ﷺ a gift of dried curd, clarified butter, and lizards. The Prophet ﷺ ate from the curd and the butter but left the lizard out of distaste.Ibn Abbas said, "It was eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Had it been forbidden, it would not have been eaten at the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

أهدت أم حفيد خالة ابن عباس إلى النبي ﷺ أقطا وسمنا وأضبا فأكل النبي ﷺ من الأقط والسمن وترك الضب تقذرا قال ابن عباس فأكل على مائدة رسول الله ﷺ ولو كان حراما ما أكل على مائدة رسول الله ﷺ
