The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "An animal given as collateral may be ridden in exchange for its upkeep when it is pledged, and the milk of a milch animal may be drunk in exchange for its upkeep when it is pledged, and the one who rides and drinks must bear the cost of its upkeep."

قال رسول الله ﷺ الرهن يركب بنفقته إذا كان مرهونا ولبن الدر يشرب بنفقته إذا كان مرهونا وعلى الذي يركب ويشرب النفقة
