The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever frees his share of a jointly owned slave is obligated to secure the slave's complete freedom from his own wealth. If he has no wealth, the slave is to be valued at a fair price, and the slave is then required to work to earn the remainder of his freedom, without being burdened beyond his capacity."
حدثنا بشر بن محمد أخبرنا عبد الله أخبرنا سعيد بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن النضر بن أنس عن بشير بن نهيك
عن النبي ﷺ قال من أعتق شقيصا من مملوكه فعليه خلاصه في ماله فإن لم يكن له مال قوم المملوك قيمة عدل ثم استسعي غير مشقوق عليه
