I was with the Prophet ﷺ, and when he caught sight of Uhud, he said, "I would not wish for it to be turned into gold for me, with even a single dinar of it remaining with me beyond three days, except for a dinar I would set aside to pay off a debt."Then he said, "Those who have the most are the ones with the least, except for the one who spends his wealth like this, and like this, and like this." Abu Shihab gestured in front of him, to his right, and to his left. "And such people are few."Then he said, "Stay where you are," and walked a short distance ahead. I heard a voice and wanted to go to him, but then I remembered his words, "Stay where you are until I come back to you."When he returned, I said, "Messenger of Allah, what was it I heard?" or, "What was that voice I heard?"He asked, "Did you actually hear it?"I said, "Yes."He said, "Jibreel came to me and said, 'Whoever among your nation dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise.'"I asked, "Even if he has done such and such?"He answered, "Yes."
