The Prophet ﷺ forbade renting out farmland. Ibn Umar went to Rafi, and I went with him. He asked him about it, and Rafi said, "The Prophet ﷺ forbade renting out farmland."Ibn Umar said, "I already knew that we used to rent out our farmland during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in exchange for whatever grew along the irrigation channels and a portion of the straw."
ثم حدث
أن النبي ﷺ نهى عن كراء المزارع فذهب ابن عمر إلى رافع فذهبت معه فسأله فقال نهى النبي ﷺ عن كراء المزارع فقال ابن عمر قد علمت أنا كنا نكري مزارعنا على عهد رسول الله ﷺ بما على الأربعاء وبشيء من التبن
