They had sheep that grazed at Sala. A slave girl of ours saw one of our sheep dying, so she broke a stone and slaughtered it with it. He said to them, "Do not eat it until I ask the Prophet ﷺ, or send someone to the Prophet ﷺ to ask him."He asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, or sent someone, and the Prophet instructed him to eat it.Ubaydullah said, "What pleases me about this is that she was a slave girl and that she performed the slaughter."Abdah followed him in this narration from Ubaydullah.
حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم سمع المعتمر أنبأنا عبيد الله عن نافع أنه سمع
أنه كانت لهم غنم ترعى بسلع فأبصرت جارية لنا بشاة من غنمنا موتا فكسرت حجرا فذبحتها به فقال لهم لا تأكلوا حتى أسأل النبي ﷺ أو أرسل إلى النبي ﷺ من يسأله وأنه سأل النبي ﷺ عن ذاك أو أرسل فأمره بأكلها قال عبيد الله فيعجبني أنها أمة وأنها ذبحت تابعه عبدة عن عبيد الله
