The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "While I was sleeping, I saw people being presented before me wearing shirts. Some shirts reached the chest, and others fell short of that. Then Umar bin Khattab was presented before me, wearing a shirt that he was dragging behind him."They asked, "How did you interpret that, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Religion."
حدثنا محمد بن عبيد الله قال حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن صالح عن ابن شهاب عن أبي أمامة بن سهل بن حنيف أنه سمع
قال رسول الله ﷺ بينا أنا نائم رأيت الناس يعرضون علي وعليهم قمص منها ما يبلغ الثدي ومنها ما دون ذلك وعرض علي عمر بن الخطاب وعليه قميص يجره قالوا فما أولت ذلك يا رسول الله قال الدين
