The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr hired a man from the tribe of Banu Dil as an expert guide, though he followed the religion of the disbelievers of Quraysh. They handed over their two mounts to him and arranged to meet him at the Cave of Thawr after three nights, where he was to bring their mounts on the morning of the third day.
