Amash reported,

We were discussing pledges in transactions involving deferred payment in the presence of Ibrahim, and he said, "Aswad narrated to me from Ayesha that the Prophet ﷺ purchased food from a Jew on credit until a specified term and pledged to him an iron shield as security."
