Hakeem bin Hizam reported,

He informed him that he had said, "Messenger of Allah, what do you think about acts of devotion I used to perform in the days of ignorance, such as maintaining family ties, freeing slaves, and giving charity? Will I be rewarded for them?"Hakeem said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "You have embraced Islam along with all the good you did before."

أخبره أنه قال يا رسول الله أرأيت أمورا كنت أتحنث أو أتحنت بها في الجاهلية من صلة وعتاقة وصدقة هل لي فيها أجر قال حكيم رضي الله عنه قال رسول الله ﷺ أسلمت على ما سلف لك من خير
