Ata bin Yasar reported,

I met Abdullah bin Amr bin As رضي الله عنهم and said to him, "Tell me about the description of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Torah."He replied, "Certainly. By Allah, he is described in the Torah with some of the same qualities by which he is described in the Quran, 'Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of good news, and a warner' [Ahzab 33:45], and as a protection for the unlettered. You are My servant and My Messenger. I have named you the One Who Relies on Allah. He is neither harsh nor severe, nor does he shout in the marketplaces. He does not repay evil with evil, but rather pardons and forgives. Allah will not take him until, through him, He has set straight the crooked community, so that they say, 'There is no god but Allah,' and through this He opens eyes that were blind, ears that were deaf, and hearts that were wrapped up."Abdul-Aziz bin Abu Salama corroborated this, narrating from Hilal. Saeed narrated it from Hilal, from Ata, from Ibn Salam. As for "wrapped up", anything in a covering is described this way. One says a sheathed sword, a cased bow, and a man is called uncovered when he has not been circumcised.
