A trade caravan arrived while we were praying the Friday prayer with the Prophet ﷺ, and the people scattered toward it, leaving only twelve men behind. Then this verse was revealed, "And when they see a transaction or amusement, they rush to it and leave you standing" [Jumuah 62:11].
حدثني محمد قال حدثني محمد بن فضيل عن حصين عن سالم بن أبي الجعد
أقبلت عير ونحن نصلي مع النبي ﷺ الجمعة فانفض الناس إلا اثني عشر رجلا فنزلت هذه الآية {وإذا رأوا تجارة أو لهوا انفضوا إليها وتركوك قائما}
