While we were praying with the Prophet ﷺ, a caravan arrived from Syria carrying food. The people turned toward it, until no one remained with the Prophet ﷺ except twelve men. Then the verse was revealed, "And when they see merchandise or amusement, they rush off to it" [Jumuah 62:11].
حدثنا طلق بن غنام حدثنا زائدة عن حصين عن سالم قال حدثني
بينما نحن نصلي مع النبي ﷺ إذ أقبلت من الشأم عير تحمل طعاما فالتفتوا إليها حتى ما بقي مع النبي ﷺ إلا اثنا عشر رجلا فنزلت {وإذا رأوا تجارة أو لهوا انفضوا إليها}
