A complaint was brought to the Prophet ﷺ about a man who senses something during prayer. Should he break off the prayer? He replied, "No, not unless he hears a sound or detects an odor."Ibn Abu Hafsa reported from Zuhri, "There is no need for ablution unless you detect an odor or hear a sound."
