He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Do not practice continuous fasting. Whoever among you wishes to continue his fast, let him continue until the time of suhoor."They said, "But you yourself practice continuous fasting, Messenger of Allah."He replied, "I am not like you. I spend the night with One who feeds me and One who gives me drink."

أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تواصلوا فأيكم أراد أن يواصل فليواصل حتى السحر قالوا فإنك تواصل يا رسول الله قال لست كهيئتكم إني أبيت لي مطعم يطعمني وساق يسقين
