We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when he said to a man, "Dismount and mix some sawiq for me."The man said, "Messenger of Allah, the sun is still up."He said, "Dismount and mix some sawiq for me."The man said again, "Messenger of Allah, the sun is still up."He said, "Dismount and mix some sawiq for me."So the man dismounted and mixed it for him, and he drank. Then he gestured with his hand toward the east and said, "When you see night approaching from this direction, the fasting person has broken his fast."Jareer and Abu Bakr bin Ayyash followed the same chain from Shaybani from Ibn Abu Awfa, who said, "I was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey."
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا سفيان عن أبي إسحاق الشيباني سمع
كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في سفر فقال لرجل انزل فاجدح لي قال يا رسول الله الشمس قال انزل فاجدح لي قال يا رسول الله الشمس قال انزل فاجدح لي فنزل فجدح له فشرب ثم رمى بيده ها هنا ثم قال إذا رأيتم الليل أقبل من ها هنا فقد أفطر الصائم تابعه جرير وأبو بكر بن عياش عن الشيباني عن ابن أبي أوفى قال كنت مع النبي ﷺ في سفر
