Bakr bin Abdul-Rahman reported,

I was with my father, and I went along with him until we came in to see Ayesha .She said, "I bear witness concerning the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he would rise in the morning in a state of major impurity from intercourse, not from a wet dream, and then he would fast that day."Then we came in to see Umm Salama, and she said the same thing.
