The Prophet ﷺ used to kiss and embrace his wives while fasting, and he had the greatest control over his desire among you.Ibn Abbas said, regarding the word ma'arib, that it means "need."Tawus said, regarding ghayr uli al-irbah, that it refers to the simple-minded man who has no desire for women.
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب قال عن شعبة عن الحكم عن إبراهيم عن الأسود
كان النبي ﷺ يقبل ويباشر وهو صائم وكان أملككم لإربه وقال قال ابن عباس {مآرب} حاجة قال طاوس {غير أولي الإربة} الأحمق لا حاجة له في النساء
