I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When you see it, fast, and when you see it, break your fast. If it is obscured from you, then estimate for it."Someone other than him reported from Layth, Aqeel and Yunus narrated to me, regarding the crescent of Ramadan.
حدثنا يحيى بن بكير قال حدثني الليث عن عقيل عن ابن شهاب قال أخبرني سالم بن عبد الله بن عمر أن
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إذا رأيتموه فصوموا وإذا رأيتموه فأفطروا فإن غم عليكم فاقدروا له وقال غيره عن الليث حدثني عقيل ويونس لهلال رمضان
