The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been commanded to go to a town that consumes other towns. People call it Yathrib, but it is Madinah. It expels people just as a blacksmith's bellows removes the impurities of iron."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد قال سمعت أبا الحباب سعيد بن يسار يقول سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ أمرت بقرية تأكل القرى يقولون يثرب وهي المدينة تنفي الناس كما ينفي الكير خبث الحديد
