While a man was standing with the Prophet ﷺ at Arafah, he fell from his mount and it broke his neck, or he said it killed him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Wash him with water and lotus leaves, shroud him in two garments, do not apply perfume to him, do not cover his head, and do not embalm him with fragrance, for Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection calling out the talbiyah."
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب حدثنا حماد عن أيوب عن سعيد بن جبير
بينا رجل واقف مع النبي ﷺ بعرفة إذ وقع عن راحلته فوقصته أو قال فأوقصته فقال النبي ﷺ اغسلوه بماء وسدر وكفنوه في ثوبين ولا تمسوه طيبا ولا تخمروا رأسه ولا تحنطوه فإن الله يبعثه يوم القيامة ملبيا
