Whenever he was approaching Mecca, he would spend the night at Dhu Tuwa, and once morning came he would enter the city. When he was leaving, he would pass by Dhu Tuwa and spend the night there until morning. He used to mention that the Prophet ﷺ did the same.
وقال محمد بن عيسى حدثنا حماد، عن أيوب، عن نافع،
أنه كان إذا أقبل بات بذي طوى، حتى إذا أصبح دخل، وإذا نفر مر بذي طوى وبات بها حتى يصبح، وكان يذكر أن النبي ﷺ كان يفعل ذلك.
