Nafi reported,

Ibn Umar used to spend the night at Dhu Tuwa, between the two mountain passes, then he would enter Mecca through the pass at its upper end. Whenever he came to Mecca for Hajj or Umrah, he would not make his camel kneel except at the gate of the Sacred Mosque. He would then enter and go to the Black Corner, beginning with it, then perform seven circuits, three at a quick pace and four walking. After that he would withdraw and pray two units of prayer. Then, before returning to his lodging, he would set out to make the rounds between Safa and Marwa.Whenever he was returning from Hajj or Umrah, he would make his camel kneel at the open valley of Dhu al-Hulayfa, the very place where the Prophet ﷺ used to make his camel kneel.

أن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما كان يبيت بذي طوى بين الثنيتين ثم يدخل من الثنية التي بأعلى مكة وكان إذا قدم مكة حاجا أو معتمرا لم ينخ ناقته إلا عند باب المسجد ثم يدخل فيأتي الركن الأسود فيبدأ به ثم يطوف سبعا ثلاثا سعيا وأربعا مشيا ثم ينصرف فيصلي ركعتين ثم ينطلق قبل أن يرجع إلى منزله فيطوف بين الصفا والمروة وكان إذا صدر عن الحج أو العمرة أناخ بالبطحاء التي بذي الحليفة التي كان النبي ﷺ ينيخ بها
