Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid reported,

He performed the Hajj with Ibn Masud and saw him pelt the largest Jamrah with seven pebbles, placing the House on his left and Mina on his right. Then Ibn Masud said, "This is the standing place of the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed."

أنه حج مع ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه فرآه يرمي الجمرة الكبرى بسبع حصيات فجعل البيت عن يساره ومنى عن يمينه ثم قال هذا مقام الذي أنزلت عليه سورة البقرة
