Amra bint Abdul-Rahman reported,

Amra reported that Ziyad bin Abu Sufyan wrote to Ayesha رضي الله عنها saying that Abdullah bin Abbas رضي الله عنهم had said, "Whoever sends a sacrificial animal to be offered at the sanctuary becomes bound by the same restrictions as a pilgrim until his offering is slaughtered."Amra said that Ayesha رضي الله عنها replied, "It is not as Ibn Abbas said. I myself twisted the garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own hands. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed them on the animals with his own hands and sent them with Ubayy. Yet nothing that Allah had made lawful for him became forbidden to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until the offering was slaughtered."
