Bukhari 1626

Bukhari related it from Ibn Harb, from Abu Marwan, from Hisham, from his father, from Umm Salama, that the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said to her, "When you have prayed the dawn prayer, then circle the Kaaba on your camel while the people are praying." This is a mursal narration. Hafs bin Ghiyath connected it, narrating from Hisham, from his father, from Zaynab, from Umm Salama. Ibn Saeed said it was narrated from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Nawfal, from his father, from her. Malik also connected it in Muwatta, narrating from Abu Aswad, from Urwa, from Zaynab, from Umm Salama.

Hafiz said in the introduction to Fath al-Bari, vol. 2, p. 118, "I say, the hadith of Malik in Bukhari at this point is paired with the hadith of Abu Marwan. In some copies, which is the narration of Asili, it occurs here from Hisham, from his father, from Zaynab, from Umm Salama, connected in full. Mizzi relied on this in al-Atraf, but most of the narrations omit Zaynab.Abu Ali Jayyani said, this is the sahih version, then he traced it through the route of Abu Ali bin Sakan, from Ali bin Abdullah bin Mubashshir, from Muhammad bin Harb, the teacher of Bukhari, in agreement, and Zaynab is not mentioned in it.Likewise, Ismaili narrated it from the hadith of Abdah bin Sulayman, Muhadir, and Hassan bin Ibrahim, all of them from Hisham, and Zaynab is not mentioned in it, and this is the preserved version of Hisham's hadith.Bukhari relied here on the narration of Malik, in which the mention of Zaynab is established, then he cited alongside it the narration of Hisham in which she was omitted, thereby recounting the disagreement over Urwa, as is his custom, even though it is not implausible that Urwa heard from Umm Salama.And Allah knows best."
