When he entered the Kaabah, he would walk straight ahead upon entering, keeping the door behind his back, and continue walking until there were about three cubits between him and the wall in front of him. Then he would pray, aiming for the exact spot where Bilal had told him the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had prayed. There is no harm, however, in anyone praying in whichever side of the House he wishes.

أنه كان إذا دخل الكعبة مشى قبل الوجه حين يدخل ويجعل الباب قبل الظهر يمشي حتى يكون بينه وبين الجدار الذي قبل وجهه قريبا من ثلاث أذرع فيصلي يتوخى المكان الذي أخبره بلال أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى فيه وليس على أحد بأس أن يصلي في أي نواحي البيت شاء
