When the Kaabah was being built, the Prophet ﷺ and Abbas were carrying stones. Abbas said to the Prophet ﷺ, "Place your lower garment on your shoulder to cushion the stones."He did so, but then fell to the ground with his eyes gazing up toward the sky. He said, "Bring me my garment." So he fastened it back around himself.
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد حدثنا أبو عاصم قال أخبرني ابن جريج قال أخبرني عمرو بن دينار قال سمعت
لما بنيت الكعبة ذهب النبي ﷺ وعباس ينقلان الحجارة فقال العباس للنبي ﷺ اجعل إزارك على رقبتك فخر إلى الأرض وطمحت عيناه إلى السماء فقال أرني إزاري فشده عليه
