Nafi reported,

Ibn Umar , whenever he intended to set out for Makkah, would apply oil that had no fragrance, then come to the mosque of Dhul-Hulayfah and pray. He would then mount his riding animal, and once it stood upright with him on it, he would enter the state of ihram. He said, "This is how I saw the Prophet ﷺ do it."
