The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to leave by way of the Shajarah road and return by way of the Muarras road. When he set out for Makkah, he would pray at the mosque of Shajarah, and on his return he would pray at Dhul Hulayfah in the valley floor and spend the night there until morning.
