The Prophet ﷺ said, "The poor person is not the one whom a morsel or two sends away, but the truly poor person is the one who has no means of sufficiency and is too modest to ask, or does not beg from people persistently."

عن النبي ﷺ قال ليس المسكين الذي ترده الأكلة والأكلتان ولكن المسكين الذي ليس له غنى ويستحيي أو لا يسأل الناس إلحافا
