Anas bin Malik reported,

Abu Talha was the wealthiest of the Ansar in Medina in terms of date palms, and the property he loved most was Bayruha, which faced the mosque. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to enter it and drink from the sweet water it contained.Anas reported, "When this verse was revealed, 'You will never attain righteousness until you spend from what you love' [Aal Imran 3:92], Abu Talha went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'Messenger of Allah, Allah says, "You will never attain righteousness until you spend from what you love" [Aal Imran 3:92], and the property I love most is Bayruha. It is now a charity for the sake of Allah, and I hope for its reward and treasure with Allah. So place it, Messenger of Allah, wherever Allah shows you.'"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Excellent! That is profitable wealth, that is profitable wealth. I have heard what you said, and I think you should give it to your near relatives."Abu Talha said, "I will do so, Messenger of Allah."So Abu Talha distributed it among his relatives and his paternal cousins.Rawh corroborated this narration. Yahya bin Yahya and Ismail reported it from Malik with the wording "rayih" instead of "rabih".

حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك عن إسحاق بن عبد الله بن أبي طلحة أنه سمع

أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه يقول

كان أبو طلحة أكثر الأنصار بالمدينة مالا من نخل وكان أحب أمواله إليه بيرحاء وكانت مستقبلة المسجد وكان رسول الله ﷺ يدخلها ويشرب من ماء فيها طيب قال أنس فلما أنزلت هذه الآية {لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مما تحبون} قام أبو طلحة إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن الله تبارك وتعالى يقول {لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مما تحبون} وإن أحب أموالي إلي بيرحاء وإنها صدقة لله أرجو برها وذخرها عند الله فضعها يا رسول الله حيث أراك الله قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ بخ ذلك مال رابح ذلك مال رابح وقد سمعت ما قلت وإني أرى أن تجعلها في الأقربين فقال أبو طلحة أفعل يا رسول الله فقسمها أبو طلحة في أقاربه وبني عمه تابعه روح وقال يحيى بن يحيى وإسماعيل عن مالك رايح
