I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed before the sermon. He noticed that the women had not heard him, so he went over to them with Bilal, who was spreading out his garment. He admonished them and commanded them to give in charity, so the women began throwing in their offerings.Ayub gestured toward his ear and his throat.
حدثنا مؤمل حدثنا إسماعيل عن أيوب عن عطاء بن أبي رباح قال قال
أشهد على رسول الله ﷺ لصلى قبل الخطبة فرأى أنه لم يسمع النساء فأتاهن ومعه بلال ناشر ثوبه فوعظهن وأمرهن أن يتصدقن فجعلت المرأة تلقي وأشار أيوب إلى أذنه وإلى حلقه
