A woman came in with her two daughters, asking for something. I had nothing but a single date, so I gave it to her. She divided it between her two daughters and did not eat any of it herself. Then she got up and left.The Prophet ﷺ came in, and I told him what had happened. He said, "Whoever is tested with these daughters in any way, they will be a shield for him from the Fire."
حدثنا بشر بن محمد قال أخبرنا عبد الله أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري قال حدثني عبد الله بن أبي بكر بن حزم عن عروة
دخلت امرأة معها ابنتان لها تسأل فلم تجد عندي شيئا غير تمرة فأعطيتها إياها فقسمتها بين ابنتيها ولم تأكل منها ثم قامت فخرجت فدخل النبي ﷺ علينا فأخبرته فقال من ابتلي من هذه البنات بشيء كن له سترا من النار
