The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever Allah has given wealth and does not pay its zakat will have his wealth appear to him on the Day of Resurrection as a bald serpent with two black spots above its eyes. It will be placed around his neck on the Day of Resurrection, then it will seize him by the corners of his mouth and say, 'I am your wealth, I am your treasure.'" Then he recited "Let not those who are stingy" [Aal Imran 3:180], the verse.
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن دينار عن أبيه عن أبي صالح السمان
قال رسول الله ﷺ من آتاه الله مالا فلم يؤد زكاته مثل له ماله يوم القيامة شجاعا أقرع له زبيبتان يطوقه يوم القيامة ثم يأخذ بلهزمتيه يعني بشدقيه ثم يقول أنا مالك أنا كنزك ثم تلا {لا يحسبن الذين يبخلون} الآية
