The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the illness from which he never recovered, "May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians. They took the graves of their prophets as places of worship." Were it not for that, his grave would have been made prominent, but he feared, or it was feared, that it would be taken as a place of worship.Hilal said, Urwa bin Zubayr gave me a kunya even though I had no child.Muhammad bin Muqatil told us, Abdullah informed us, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash reported from Sufyan al-Tammar that he told him he had seen the grave of the Prophet ﷺ raised in a hump shape.Farwa told us, Ali bin Mushir told us, from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, that when the wall collapsed on them during the time of Walid bin Abdul-Malik, they began rebuilding it. A foot appeared to them, and they were alarmed, thinking it was the foot of the Prophet ﷺ. They could find no one who knew about it, until Urwa said to them, "No, by Allah, it is not the foot of the Prophet ﷺ. It is none other than the foot of Umar ."
