Ayesha reported,

A Jewish woman came in to see Ayesha and mentioned the punishment of the grave, saying to her, "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave."So Ayesha asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the punishment of the grave, and he replied, "Yes, the punishment of the grave is real."Ayesha said, "After that, I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform a prayer without seeking refuge from the punishment of the grave."Ghundar added, "The punishment of the grave is true."

حدثنا عبدان أخبرني أبي عن شعبة سمعت الأشعث عن أبيه عن مسروق

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها

أن يهودية دخلت عليها فذكرت عذاب القبر فقالت لها أعاذك الله من عذاب القبر فسألت عائشة رسول الله ﷺ عن عذاب القبر فقال نعم عذاب القبر قالت عائشة رضي الله عنها فما رأيت رسول الله ﷺ بعد صلى صلاة إلا تعوذ من عذاب القبر زاد غندر عذاب القبر حق
