He said, I heard the Prophet ﷺ.Ahmad bin Shabib bin Saeed narrated to us, saying, my father narrated to me, Yunus narrated to us, Ibn Shihab said, and Abdul-Rahman al-Araj narrated to me that Abu Hurayrah said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever attends a funeral until the prayer is performed receives one qirat, and whoever attends until the burial is completed receives two qirats."It was asked, "And what are the two qirats?"He replied, "Like two enormous mountains."
13 - Bukhari alone narrated it from Saeed, from his father, that he asked Abu Hurairah, (he said, I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say), "Whoever prays over a funeral..." He said, Ubaydullah bin Umar also narrated it from Saeed, from Abu Hurairah. Nasr bin Ali and others narrated it from Abdul-Ala.
Hafiz said in the introduction to Fath al-Bari, page 355, after mentioning the statement of Daraqutni, "I say, this is similar to the thirteenth hadith. But the narration of Ubaydullah bin Umar in this case is not well known, so the narration of Ibn Abu Dhib is the one relied upon, and it is among the unique narrations of the Sahih. The author only included it paired with the narration of Aaraj from Abu Hurairah." End of quote.
