When the Prophet ﷺ received news of the deaths of Ibn Haritha, Jafar, and Ibn Rawaha, he sat down with grief visible on his face, and I was watching through a crack in the door. A man came to him and said, "The women of Jafar are weeping," and he mentioned their wailing. The Prophet ﷺ ordered him to forbid them from doing so. The man left, then came back a second time saying they had not obeyed him.The Prophet ﷺ said, "Forbid them."The man came to him a third time and said, "By Allah, they have overwhelmed us, Messenger of Allah."She claimed that the Prophet ﷺ then said, "Throw dust into their mouths."I said, "May Allah rub your nose in the dirt. You neither did what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded you, nor did you spare the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from this trouble."
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا عبد الوهاب قال سمعت يحيى قال أخبرتني عمرة قالت سمعت
