The Prophet ﷺ said, "The deceased is punished in his grave for the wailing done over him."Abdul-Ala followed this narration, saying, Yazid bin Zurai narrated to us, Saeed narrated to us, Qatada narrated to us. And Adam reported from Shuba, "The deceased is punished because of the living's weeping over him."
حدثنا عبدان قال أخبرني أبي عن شعبة عن قتادة عن سعيد بن المسيب
عن النبي ﷺ قال الميت يعذب في قبره بما نيح عليه تابعه عبد الأعلى حدثنا يزيد بن زريع حدثنا سعيد حدثنا قتادة وقال آدم عن شعبة الميت يعذب ببكاء الحي عليه
