One of the daughters of the Prophet ﷺ passed away, and the Prophet ﷺ came to us and said, "Wash her an odd number of times with water and lote-tree leaves, three times, or five, or more if you see fit, and add camphor, or a little camphor, in the final wash. When you are done, let me know."When we finished, we informed him, and he handed us his waist-wrapper and said, "Wrap her in this." We braided her hair into three plaits and laid them behind her.
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن هشام بن حسان قال حدثتنا حفصة
توفيت إحدى بنات النبي ﷺ فأتانا النبي ﷺ فقال اغسلنها بالسدر وترا ثلاثا أو خمسا أو أكثر من ذلك إن رأيتن ذلك واجعلن في الآخرة كافورا أو شيئا من كافور فإذا فرغتن فآذنني فلما فرغنا آذناه فألقى إلينا حقوه فضفرنا شعرها ثلاثة قرون وألقيناها خلفها
