I have preserved from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ two vessels of knowledge. As for one of them, I have spread it among the people. As for the other, were I to spread it, this throat would be cut.
حدثنا إسماعيل قال حدثني أخي عن ابن أبي ذئب عن سعيد المقبري
حفظت من رسول الله ﷺ وعاءين فأما أحدهما فبثثته وأما الآخر فلو بثثته قطع هذا البلعوم
