Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid reported,

Uthman bin Affan led us in four units of prayer at Mina. When this was mentioned to Abdullah bin Masud , he said, "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return." Then he said, "I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Mina two units, I prayed with Abu Bakr al-Siddiq at Mina two units, and I prayed with Umar bin Khattab at Mina two units. How I wish that my share of these four units were two accepted ones."

حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا عبد الواحد بن زياد عن الأعمش قال حدثنا إبراهيم قال سمعت

عبد الرحمن بن يزيد يقول

صلى بنا عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه بمنى أربع ركعات فقيل ذلك لعبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه فاسترجع ثم قال صليت مع رسول الله ﷺ بمنى ركعتين وصليت مع أبي بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه بمنى ركعتين وصليت مع عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه بمنى ركعتين فليت حظي من أربع ركعات ركعتان متقبلتان
