Ali bin Rabia reported,
I met Zayd bin Arqam as he was on his way to visit Mukhtar, and I said to him, "A report has reached me from you."He asked, "What is it?"I said, "Did you hear the Prophet ﷺ say, 'I am leaving among you two weighty things, the Book of Allah 
and my family'?"He replied, "Yes."

Sahihعن علي بن ربيعة الأسدي الوالبي قال
لقيت زيد بن أرقم- وهو يريد الدخول على المختار- فقلت له: بلغني عنك حديث. قال: ما هو؟ قلت: أسمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: إني تارك فيكم الثقلين: كتاب الله عز وجل، وعترتي. قال: نعم.
Yaqub Fasawi narrated it in al-Marifah wal-Tarikh (1/537) from Ubaydullah bin Musa, and Tahawi in Sharh Mushkil (3463), and Tabarani in al-Kabir (5/210) through various routes from Abu Ghassan Malik bin Ismail Nahdi, both of them from Israil bin Yunus, from Uthman bin Mughira, from Ali bin Rabia, who said, then he mentioned it.This hadith was also narrated by Aswad bin Amir, from Israil, with the same chain, but he did not mention in it, "the Book of Allah and my family." Ahmad related his narration in his Musnad (19313), and Bazzar (4326), from Fadl bin Sahl, from Aswad bin Amir, in it.Aswad bin Amir is trustworthy, so what he narrated is sahih, but those who added that addition are more reliable than him. They are Ubaydullah bin Musa Absi, who is trustworthy, and Abu Hatim said, "He was more precise in transmitting from Israil than Abu Naeem." And among them is Abu Ghassan Malik bin Ismail Nahdi, who is trustworthy, meticulous, and whose book is sahih. Both of them narrated it from Israil bin Yunus with that addition, and it is acceptable.His saying, "my itrah," means the people of my household.
