Saad bin Abu Waqqas said during the illness in which he died, "Dig a side-niche grave for me, and set up the bricks over me just as was done for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
أن سعد بن أبي وقاص قال في مرضه الذي هلك فيه: ألحدوا لي لحدا، وانصبوا علي اللبن نصبا، كما صنع برسول الله ﷺ.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Funerals (966), from Yahya bin Yahya, from Abdullah bin Jafar Al-Masuri, from Ismail bin Muhammad bin Saad, from Amir bin Saad bin Abu Waqqas, that Saad bin Abu Waqqas said, then he mentioned it.
