I have not suffered eye inflammation or a headache since the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped my face and spat into my eyes on the day of Khaybar, when he handed me the banner.

Ahmad (579) narrated it in abridged form, and Abu Yaala (593), the wording being his, and Abu Dawud Tayalisi (185), all of them through routes going back to Mughira bin Miqsam Dabbi, from Umm Musa, who said, "I heard Ali say," and then she related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Umm Musa, who was the concubine of Ali bin Abu Talib. It is said her name was Fakhita, and it is also said it was Habiba. Daraqutni said, "Her hadith is sound, her hadith may be cited as corroborating evidence." Ajli deemed her trustworthy.Haythami said in Majma al-Zawaid (9/122), "Abu Yaala and Ahmad narrated it in abridged form, and the men in both their chains are the men of the Sahih, apart from Umm Musa, and her hadith is sound."
